Hi there! I’m Lourdes, a UX researcher and designer who loves creating solutions that make people’s lives easier. My journey into design wasn’t exactly traditional—I started as a microbiologist! But my curiosity and creativity led me to explore different design fields, from graphic and 3D animation design to game design and user experience.
I believe great design starts with understanding people. Whether it’s through research, prototyping, or crafting seamless experiences, I’m passionate about finding the best way to connect users with the right solutions. My last role as a visual communication intern with Make-A-Wish Hawai‘i reinforced my love for storytelling through design and the power it has to create real impact.
I’m also excited to be part of Hawai‘i Pacific University’s Women’s Executive Leadership Council for 2024-2025, where I get to collaborate with inspiring leaders. When I’m not designing, you can probably find me exploring new design tools, geeking out over user psychology, or enjoying the beauty of Hawai‘i.
